Vision Service Plan (VSP): Eligible employees and their covered dependents can receive eye care benefits from an extensive nationwide network of providers. Coverage includes routine eye examinations (once every 12 months) and benefits toward eyeglasses and contact lenses. Employees may receive a benefit for glasses or contact lenses in one 12-month period, but not both. For contact lenses, a separate contact lens exam (fitting and evaluation) is necessary. Because it is considered elective surgery, laser vision correction is not a covered benefit under VSP's vision plan. However an employee may receive discounts on laser eye surgery, including LASIK and PRK procedures.
